My Approach

The main way I approach my entire wedding experience is through storytelling. Storytelling helps me organize all my must have and fun-to-have shots and create custom timelines for my couples. One of the biggest ways I create a cohesive story is through the details of your wedding. I have a few different detail categories that I make sure I get that you don’t ever have to worry about. The one detail category I do enlist help with is bridal and groom details and that is where the ultimate bridal details checklist comes in extra handy!

Why are detail shots so important?

This is answer is two-fold. The bridal details are important for me and for my couples. For my couples – the detail shots highlight all of the thought and effort you put into your entire day. I create beautifully styled shots of whatever details you deem to be the most important to you – even if that is only your wedding bands! For me – the detail shots are my opportunity to warm up for the day and jumpstart my creativity!

What are bridal details?

In the gallery – I simply call these “details” because they cover all of the couple’s personalized details. Bridal details are the small things that add up to your whole wedding day look and feel. For brides this generally includes all of your pieces of jewelry, all the wedding bands, invitation suite, florals, and shoes! For grooms this also includes shoes, ties, pocket squares, watches, and accessories like tie clips and cuff links!

What other details are you shooting?

I look for other details of your wedding through the day. I love florals so I get plenty of bouquet shots, centerpieces, aisle decor, and arches that you may have decked out with flowers. If you invested in florals you will find me ogling all of them. I look for untouched ceremony and reception spaces, special tables, favors, escort cards/boards, menus, the sweetheart table, specialty signs – you get the idea!
